Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not properly produce or use insulin, resulting in high levels of sugar in the blood. Diabetes can result in complications of the eyes, kidneys, heart, blood vessels and nerves. Our goal is to control blood sugar levels safely to reduce the risk of developing these harmful complications.
Crouse Medical Practice’s diabetes care complies with national recommendations from the American Diabetes Association. We provide a full range of diabetes management services, including point-of-care glucose testing, continuous blood glucose monitoring, insulin pump initiation and management, and on-site diabetic eye exams. We offer diabetes and pre-diabetes educational programs. Our on-staff Diabetes Educators play a critical role in our collaborative approach to diabetes care.
