Advanced Practice Clinician Academy

Crouse Advanced Practice Clinician Academy is designed to offer a rewarding and structured approach to the new graduate’s first clinical practice and a path to a fulfilling career with one of Upstate New York’s premier health systems.

This paid residency program offers newly graduated Advanced Practice Clinicians:

  • Continuous training and hands-on experience gained during supervised practice
  • Mentorship from experienced clinicians
  • Experience providing healthcare within an outpatient clinical setting
  • Exposure to multiple specialties through rotations

Crouse’s intensive 14-week program includes clinical rotations in the following specialties: 

  • Primary Care
  • Cardiology
  • Dermatology
  • Endocrine
  • Gastroenterology
  • Acute Care/Urgent Care
  • Hematology
  • Renal/Electrolytes
  • General Surgery

At the successful completion of the residency program, candidates will be offered a two-year employment contract with Crouse Medical Practice-Primary Care.

Available Positions

Three candidates are selected for the Crouse Advanced Practice Clinician Academy each year.

Application

To apply, please download and complete the application form.  Candidate’s application must include three references, CV, official transcripts from college and PA or NP school, copies of BLS and/or ACLS. Applications are due by April 30, 2019. You may:

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited PA or NP program, expected to graduate in 2019 and be eligible for New York State license.

Interview

Successful applicants will be invited for an on-site interview between May 1 and May 17, 2019.

Offer

Selected candidates will receive an offer by May 24, 2019.

Program Start Date

September 15, 2019

Residency program length: 14 weeks

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

  • Paid stipend during residency.

Upon the completion of the residency, successful candidates will be offered an initial two-year employment contract with Crouse Medical Practice. The contract includes:

  • Competitive annual salary
  • Comprehensive benefits package, which includes paid holidays and paid time off, health and retirement benefits (401(k) plan with matching contribution).
  • Loan forgiveness at a rate of $10,000 per year, for a maximum five years.
